I suggest that this work be immediately added to the National Archive Museum of Art

    Leaders

Water is too warm for trout, if you do hook one it'll turn over, no fight. But anyway, if you're using a streamer you can get away with heavier tippet. Drifting nymphs under water 4-5lb test or 5X, dry flies the same, I was using 4lb test tippet on my dries at the end of May. Leader length...

    Spinnerbaits

Smallmouth? I've only used spinnerbaits for largemouths but I know a few guys that swear by them for smallies. The worms as trailers never worked well for me. I used to use the very small tube style baits (1-inch) on the Beetle Spin types, great for panfish.

    Bass season

Anyone going after bass? I put in a couple of evenings this past weekend for Susquehanna smallmouth. I caught a few during the daylight hours on the spinning rod with jigs and plastics. The sulphurs and other insects have been out in the evenings and into dark but the hatches have been...

All purpose Flies for LL Salmon, Browns, Pickerel and (hold my nose) Bass

I can lay some on you sometime. I bought out a local Ace Hardware when they decided to scratch their fishing section, lots of Betts Poppers. I bought some chinese poppers on Amazon but they aren't quite the best. Melvin makes some good ones. Boogle Bugs are the best but at $5 each it's a...

All purpose Flies for LL Salmon, Browns, Pickerel and (hold my nose) Bass

That's probably the biggest no no ! Just let them sit, the panfish will focus in on them and study it, then.. BAM !@@ LOL But seriously, one pop to let them know it's there is all you need. You can add a delicate twitch just to move the rubber legs but really less is better. You can pop...

    I got banned!

He will run the group into the ground, sounds like it's already headed that way. Good time to start an alternate group. Guy sounds like a narcissist and complete a-hole.

All purpose Flies for LL Salmon, Browns, Pickerel and (hold my nose) Bass

That's a fly rod popper, just found a decent pic by googling. Most are made of balsa or some other lightweight material. I guess the secret is to target areas near cover, weeds, etc. AND go small, size 8-10 to search with, keep moving til you find the bull gills and crappie.

    Line I can afford

I would put the 7wt line on first. You can definitely over line a rod by 1 size and not have anything drastic happen. You could assume the rod is at least a 6wt

All purpose Flies for LL Salmon, Browns, Pickerel and (hold my nose) Bass

Throw these anywhere near cover, I start small - size 8 or 10, even big bass will take a small popper

    Weeds, Heavy Fish, Line

7/8 should be good. Taper would be determined by what you intend to throw. Here's my 8wt taper I use on the Susquehanna. I'm casting a lot of top water stuff.

All purpose Flies for LL Salmon, Browns, Pickerel and (hold my nose) Bass

Clouser minnows work well in the rivers. Without current it would be up to you to add action. Where is your top water stuff?
