The only thing good about fishing in and around Philadelphia. Is that a day or two after a stocking, I might see 4- 5 people on the stream. I hit 3 different spots today on Pennypack, and must have caught 25 trout. On everything but bait, artifical only.

Yes Pennypack. Ridley get a stocking Wednesday, I'll be their Thursday. Got a couple hours in this morning, caught 8 kept 2 for you know who. All on trout magnets, pink was the color of the day.

Stocked by local stream yesterday, looked like a second opening day. So without think I went to the to a fav. spot. Forgot it's pretty mush slow water, and got skunked, a lot of leaves though. Great I'll need it next year! Only got out 4 times this year, between my move and my daughters house. Usually avg. 15 trips.

Guess I'll be back out trout fishing for a few weeks. Streams close are getting the fall stocking, starting tomorrow.

My fishing gear, is geared for trout and fluke. I sometimes do a little Smallmouth fishing on the perkiomi creek. Maybe this winter I'll get some suggestions on what type of rod to build. By the way what would you say is the average weight for a walleye?
