I had a mate on a party boat try to snap 20lb Sufix Siege tied to a jig caught in a muscle bed. He tried like hell, it pulled drag multiple times before snapping. He was in disbelief. I remember pulling a giant branch out of a stream with 4 lb test. It doesn't fail me.

Don, sufix siege is no joke. I use nothing else. Shohola should have been named Slowhola. 4 fish in 3+ hours. We did see a deer and then a bear cross the lake.

We got some last night. Not much but enough to knock the dust down.

We saw heavy pressure by the time our batteries were near death. Nice lake though, one of our favorites. Temps were 61 Prompton, 66 at Shohola for what it is worth.

I'd love to hold a record fish for even a day. I have goals for myself, that one is just a lightning strike of luck on the back of many years of effort. That's what keeps us hoping.

Straight outta Prompton!! Caught multiples of each and 2 Pickerel as well. Solid day for sure.

Anyone ever try them? We found these at Ollie's of all places. They look deadly. Reviews look great. Found a cool underwater view on how they work. I bought 6 and might go wipe them out lol

That's what I used to do. Hit it with a ton of time and effort. Many OK outings but those days where everything lines up are worth the investment.

We almost went to Gouldsboro but Shohola is just as close and less weedy. Good luck!

We had a decent day on Shohola. Shiela was a crappie magnet, I was Bass. Not a monster but a decent fish on an awesome weather day.

I was walking the stream by 5:45am. First fish of the day was a large Pickerel. After that I had 10+ Perch, 8+ Fallfish and finally landed some Smallies, 1st of the year. All in all, a productive few hours before most folks even wake up.

We don't get enough sun to plant much. One side is so shady the grass won't grow coupled with dogs watering it. We want artificial turf lol

Heavy rains must have cooled the water, it was a grind. One Pickerel, one perch off at boat and this crappie. It was worth it to net that trout for Shiela.

No. Back then zero electronics. Judging by the weed cover I wouldn't say very deep.

We fished it once in the Summer. It was loaded with lily pads. We did OK but it was a ride so it might be our only visit for a while.

I have the same story. They throw nice, spin nice and excellent drag. I think that gives them a slower speed fish like. The wires bend easy but dollar for dollar, my favorite spinner out there.
