Our chickens routinely help themselves at the buffet on the front of my Jeep. Early morning commutes take a toll on insects.

I only use braid for top water in heavy weeds and for my heavy set up. I'm not a fan of braid honestly.

10 lb Sufix mono, mostly for top water, bent V spinners, Texas rigged worms through heavy cover. I carry a few rods set ups with different lb test from 6-10lbs. It is a 30 size reel. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow, looks like overcast and light winds. Doesn't get much better.

I've been doing OT the last month so time to waste some of it. I snagged it for $30 off during Amazon Prime Days. Just like the other reel it is super smooth, feels well made and nice sounding drag. The green in hindsight isn't my favorite color but the fish won't mind. I am definitely a Lews...

I took my Dad out for a quick trip. Tobyhanna Lake was a freaking weed bed. There were a few areas with 2-3 ft of open water but not much. I managed 2 Pickerel and this bass. The old man got skunked. I HATE when I go out and some one doesn't catch and I do. I know not to go there any time soon...

Thank you! I fished on my own or with my Dad most of my life. It is definitely awesome sharing my passion, until she catches the bigger fish like today ;) In all honesty, I'm just as happy when she gets those nice fish. She works hard for it and deserves it.

Caught another solid Rainbow on a paddle tail. After that a small Bass, med Pickerel and 2 Bluegill. Slow day but Shiela managed a quality Perch and the nicest trout she's had in a while.

1st top water Bass of the year. I had a Pickerel on top water as well. Today was a little bit of a grind but I caught a decent Perch, another Bass and a Bluegill on the 4wt.

That looks like my all time fav top water lure except missing a pair of trebles. Same color and all. I bet it works the same, nice work.

The large perch was on a 2.7" kietech. Hands down Kietechs are our favorites. They almost bend in half when hooked right when they swim. They tear super easy but they catch fish. I can live with that trade off.

Since we are all family here, if you don't have a few of the Blakemore Roadrunner paddle tails / curly tails you are missing out. Everything bites them.
